Adidas's Headquarters Comes Closer to Achieving its Job Cut Target
Adidas nears completion of job reductions at head office
Kick off a conversation with pals about it, or just send a quick tweet: Adidas' CEO, Björn Gulden, claims they're two-thirds done with the job cuts at their Herzogenaurach headquarters.
Don't you just hate duplicated or even triplicated business models? Guess what, that's the problem Adidas is facing at its headquarters. But the good news is, they're getting rid of it. According to Gulden, Adidas has made significant strides in its job cut mission during the annual general meeting in Fürth.
Looks like they wanted to bring more efficiency to the table. "We had some models that had functions duplicated or even triplicated," Gulden admitted. So, what exactly are they cutting? The job count at Adidas headquarters might drop by up to 500 positions, as initially announced.
This isn't a one-off action. Companies in the sportswear industry are keeping a close eye on rivals, and Adidas is no exception. Their efforts to streamline their operations is a strategic move to adapt to the expanding global sportswear market and remain competitive.
"The duplicated and triplicated models within Adidas' business, including community and employment policies, are part of the issues being addressed in the ongoing job cuts. It's important to note that these cuts, mainly in finance and employment sectors, are part of a broader strategic move to streamline operations and maintain competitiveness in the expanding global sportswear market."
