Adjustment in Natural Gas Pump Prices Announced

The price of biogas at the Westfalentankstelle on Kamper Straße in Ohligs, Solingen, is set to increase from January 1, 2025. This price adjustment is not specific to biogas but is a result of the increases in charges and taxes on natural gas as a fuel.

The new price for biogas at the Westfalentankstelle will be 139.9 cents per kilogram gross, marking a rise from the current price of 129.9 cents per kilogram gross. This increase is primarily driven by several factors, including rising raw material costs, increasing energy market prices, regulatory changes, inflationary pressures, capacity and demand dynamics, and increases in network charges, storage surcharge, and energy tax on natural gas.

The location of the price increase remains the same, at the Westfalentankstelle on Kamper Straße in Ohligs, Solingen. This increase may lead to a decrease in the use of biogas as a fuel, as consumers may seek out cheaper alternatives or adjust their purchasing habits to accommodate the higher prices.

The price increase may have an impact on the overall cost of transportation for businesses and individuals in the region, as biogas is often used as a cleaner and more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fuels. It is important to note that similar increases have been observed in other fuels due to the same reasons, contributing to a broader trend of increasing fuel prices across Germany.

This price increase is not a temporary adjustment but will be in effect starting January 1, 2025. Consumers are advised to plan accordingly and consider the potential impact on their transportation costs.

The hike in biogas prices is not limited to Westfalentankstelle, but might be a reflection of the broader trend in the renewable-energy industry, considering the increases in finance Costs, energy market prices, and taxes on natural gas. The ongoing increase in biogas prices could potentially contribute to a switch from renewable-energy sources to other more affordable fuels within the industry.
