Agricultural innovation showcased at King Power venue in Thailand
The Department of Foreign Trade has teamed up with King Power to launch the "Nature for Future: Agriculture + Innovation" pop-up counter at King Power Rangnam, running from August 8 to September 21, 2025. This initiative is a significant step towards transforming Thai agricultural products into high-value innovations and strengthening Thai agricultural innovation entrepreneurs, particularly SMEs, to compete confidently and sustainably in global markets.
The pop-up counter, located on Phaya Thai Road, presents over 60 innovative Thai agricultural products from more than 30 entrepreneurs. These products, curated from winners of the Agri Plus Award and other export-ready items, offer a unique blend of nature, innovation, and technology, designed to meet the needs of modern, health-conscious, eco-friendly, and style-driven consumers.
Some of the products on display include starch-free rice made from seaweed fibre, herbal effervescent tablets with fruit flavours using Thai GI ingredients, organic Lanna purple rice granola, compressed mango sticky rice snacks, Thai herbal compress ball gel cream, herbal toothpaste tablets, and upcycled bags and shoes made from rice straw.
The "Nature for Future: Agriculture + Innovation" pop-up counter serves as a vital bridge to international markets, creating tangible trade opportunities and boosting the commercial value of Thai agricultural innovations. The aim is to promote and expand the market channels for Thailand's innovative agricultural products internationally, ultimately increasing farmers' incomes and supporting the growth of the Thai agricultural sector.
The launch event on August 8, 2025, was graced by government officials and public figures such as Miss Universe Thailand 2023 Antonia Porslid, marking the official start of the exhibition. The pop-up counter is free to visit and open daily from 10 am to 9 pm.
This event offers visitors a chance to explore modern, sustainable, and health-conscious Thai agricultural innovations in a retail and exhibition setting at a prominent location in Bangkok. The Ministry of Foreign Trade organized promotional activities in 2024 to expand the market for Thai agricultural innovations abroad, generating a total trade value of 367 million baht. The Ministry is confident that this figure will continue to grow.
