Al-Nakheel Agricultural Production Company (a K.P.S.C. entity) inks a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Irrigation Company (K.S.C.).
Al-Nakheel Agricultural Production Co. (K.P.S.C.) and National Industries Company (K.S.C.) have joined forces to enhance Kuwait's agricultural sector. The collaboration, marked by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to increase reliance on local industrial solutions within Kuwait's agricultural market.
Under this partnership, Al-Nakheel will be responsible for distributing and marketing a selection of NIC products tailored for the agricultural sector. These products, which will be available from September 1, 2025, include planting pots, tiles, outdoor seating, irrigation system supplies, various types of water pipes, as well as electrical, sanitary, and other essential items for gardens, farms, and agricultural projects.
The distribution network will leverage Al-Nakheel's outlets in key agricultural areas such as Al-Rai, Al-Wafra, and Al-Abdali, ensuring readiness for the new agricultural season and providing customers with better opportunities to access products that meet their expectations and needs.
Mr. Ehab Mahmoud Abdel Qader Eissa, General Manager of Al-Nakheel Agricultural Production Co., expressed confidence in their ability to efficiently deliver NIC products to Kuwait's agricultural market. He also mentioned that necessary preparations are being finalized for the availability of these products.
This partnership is expected to support the local agricultural sector by providing high-quality, reliable products and promoting locally made goods, contributing to national economic development. However, further comments regarding the strategy to develop the local agricultural sector or support national products were not provided.
The CEO of National Industries Company for Building Materials, Mr. Hamad Mohammed Al-Saad, previously stated that the agreement supports the national economy and strengthens their presence in vital sectors. Similarly, Mr. Abdullah Muslim Mohammed Al-Zamel, Chairman of Al-Nakheel Agricultural Production Co., commented that the partnership is part of their strategy to develop the local agricultural sector and support national products.

This partnership between Al-Nakheel Agricultural Production Co. and National Industries Company, as detailed in the Memorandum of Understanding, is planned to extend beyond the agricultural sector, potentially involving the manufacturing industry and finance, given that they aim to distribute and market products. The business strategy is expected to develop the local industry while supporting national economic growth, as stated by Al-Zamel, the Chairman of Al-Nakheel.
