Apple's Cook Hints at AR, Self-Driving Cars; Musk Reveals Tesla Sale Consideration

Apple's CEO Tim Cook has hinted at the company's interest in augmented reality and autonomous cars. Meanwhile, Tesla's CEO Elon Musk has revealed that he once considered selling Tesla during the Model 3's financial struggles, but no talks occurred with Apple about a potential acquisition.

In a recent interview, Tim Cook expressed Apple's interest in augmented reality and self-driving cars, indicating potential future developments in these areas.

Elon Musk, currently the second richest person in the world according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, admitted that he had contemplated selling Tesla during the 'darkest days' of the Model 3 program due to financial difficulties. In a tweet from December 2020, Musk claimed he offered to sell Tesla to Tim Cook at one-tenth of its value at that time. However, both Cook and Musk have confirmed that no talks or negotiations took place between them regarding a potential acquisition. Tesla managed to overcome the financial crisis and has since introduced new vehicles like the Model Y and the Cybertruck. In the first quarter of 2021, Tesla produced 180,338 vehicles and delivered nearly 185,000 vehicles.

While Apple explores new technologies and Tesla continues to grow, the possibility of a future collaboration or acquisition between the two companies remains unconfirmed. Both companies, however, continue to make significant strides in their respective industries.
