Toasting to Trump
Ziegler praises U.S. President, Donald Trump, whose "America first" policy stimulates the economy, ultimately benefiting Europe as well. Stefan Ziegler expresses pride in the Ziegler-Group's ranking as a "Growth Champion 2018", placing 34th overall in Germany and 1st in the logistics and transport category. Since November 1, a part of the logistics is outsourced to the new joint venture, Contargo Ziegler Comitrac in Hof, with Stefan Ziegler sharing: "Together we are stronger, and only together can we win, not against each other."
Anticipated investments for 2018 include €20 million in the terminal in Hof, and a further €7 million in Wiesau. The foundations for Combitrac are being laid - the aspiration is for this joint venture to become one of the leading container logistics suppliers in southern Germany. The acquisition of Holz-Dippel in Pressath paves the way for the creation of the new Holzzentrum for high-quality products like profile and terrace boards, and flooring. The Pressath location will be a key investment point in the foreseeable future.
Stefan Ziegler reiterates the importance of supporting local sports clubs, ensuring young people engage in sports. The social aspect receives special attention, with support provided to those in need through a €3,500 contribution to the Czech organization KARO, as well as the SOS Children's Village in Immenreuth and the Social Team in Tirschenreuth. The finishing touches will be added to a report honoring long-serving employees.
