Authorized vehicles will face no impediments on Saturday.
The municipal administration of Novara has announced a revised decision regarding the Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) parking rules, effective from December 1, 2025. This change affects car owners residing or domiciled in Novara who possess a pass for entering the restricted traffic zone (ZTL).
Previously, on-street parking within the Novara ZTL was limited to 20 minutes. However, the new decision extends this time to 30 minutes for authorized vehicles only. It is essential to note that this extension does not apply on Sundays, weekdays, or holidays. The restriction on transiting from 3 to 7 PM on these days remains unchanged.
Initially, the decision stated that it would not be possible to transit in the authorized ZTL from 3 to 7 PM on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. However, in the revised decision, passed on September 9, this restriction will no longer apply on Saturdays in the ZTL of Novara.
The extension of on-street parking time within the ZTL of Novara does not affect the ZTL regulations for other days of the week or holidays, starting from December 1, 2025. It also does not apply to car owners who do not reside or domicile in Novara.
Meanwhile, in Rome, the city that initiated similar changes, the municipality plans to adjust access regulations starting December 24, 2024. These changes include modifications to fees within different ZTL zones.
The time for on-street parking with a parking disc for authorized vehicles within the ZTL of Novara has been extended as part of the same resolution that revised the restriction on transiting on Saturdays. The revised decision also allows car owners with ZTL passes to transit in the authorized ZTL from 3 to 7 PM on Saturdays, without restriction, starting from December 1, 2025.
