However, there are signs of recovery, and industry experts like Lehne see light at the end of the tunnel.

Lehne, speaking at the Automotive Logistics & Supply Chain Europe 2024 in Bonn, Germany, outlined the industry's journey through four phases of disruption: inventory venting, supply chain disruption, inventory rebuild, and reconnecting with demand. He discussed the impact of volume outlook on various aspects, including inbound logistics, finished vehicle logistics, capacity management, investments, strategy optimization, and the green transition.

Production gains are slowing, and annual growth increases are expected to become marginal. Despite this, Lehne's insights offer a hopeful perspective on the industry's recovery post-pandemic.
