Building of bicycle path and walkway connecting Heusenstamm and Gravenbruch
The construction of a new bike and pedestrian path along state road 3117 between Heusenstamm and Gravenbruch's Neu-Isenburger district commenced on July 14. Financed by the state of Hesse, this project aims to improve infrastructure for non-motorized traffic, making the connection between Heusenstamm and Gravenbruch safer and more attractive.
The project involves the creation of a continuous route along the L 3117 with improved ground stabilization (frost protection) for the new bike and pedestrian path. The total costs of the project are approximately 2.25 million euros.
During the first phase of construction, traffic from Heusenstamm towards Neu-Isenburg, Offenbach, and Dietzenbach will remain open, but oncoming traffic from those directions will be restricted. A detour via the L 3001 and Hohebergstraße will be provided for oncoming traffic during this phase.
Two new bus stops and a fire department access road to Gravenbruch will also be created as part of the project. Construction work will be carried out in several sections, with a winter break from mid-December to early March during which the construction site will only be secured by barriers and barriers, allowing the road to be used fully.
The first phase of construction affects the section between Isenburger Straße/Berliner Straße/Lerchenstraße in Heusenstam and the Wildhof intersection. The project is being implemented by Hessen Mobil in cooperation with the city of Neu-Isenburg.

Bike and pedestrian path construction projects typically require significant planning, public input, and financial resources, with costs and timelines varying based on the complexity of the project, the length of the path, and the environmental conditions.
In the context of the ongoing project to develop a bike and pedestrian path along state road 3117, there will be investments from the finance industry, as the estimated costs for this transportation infrastructure development amount to approximately 2.25 million euros. The project expansion also includes the creation of two new bus stops and a fire department access road in Gravenbruch, demonstrating a broader impact involving the transport and industry sectors.
