Chemnitz Welcomes Da Nang Delegation to Boost Tech Ties

Chemnitz welcomed a high-profile delegation from Da Nang, Vietnam today. Mayor Ralph Burghart and Silvana Bergk, head of the Economy department, hosted the 14-member group at the town hall. The visit aims to foster ties and discuss microelectronics and startup initiatives.

The delegation, comprising senior officials from Da Nang, arrived in Chemnitz to explore collaboration opportunities. The reception at the town hall marked the start of their visit, which will also include a tour of the Fraunhofer Institute for Electronic Nanosystems (ENAS). This institute is renowned for its work in microelectronics, a field of mutual interest between the two cities.

The visit is part of a broader effort to strengthen ties between Chemnitz and Da Nang. Both cities are looking to learn from each other's experiences in fostering startup ecosystems and driving innovation in the tech sector.

The delegation from Da Nang is set to conclude their visit with a trip to the Fraunhofer Institute for Electronic Nanosystems. The exchange of ideas and knowledge between the two cities is expected to yield beneficial outcomes for both parties, potentially leading to new partnerships and collaborations in the future.
