Congested traffic flow in a fire-fighting tunnel!

Folks traveling on the A103, prepare for some changes in the next few weeks! The Feuerbachtunnel is undergoing some much-needed preservation work, starting on June 16th and running until July 14th.

What's the 411? 🔍

According to the Autobahn GmbH, the tunnel's wall tiles need to be scraped off in both directions, that's why there'll be some construction going on.

Construction Schedule 🗓

The work will be carried out in a series of sequential phases, as follows:

  1. June 16th - June 22nd: Construction in the southbound (Steglitz) direction, with lane closures of the left and middle lanes. Traffic will be routed through the right lane.
  2. June 23rd - June 29th: Continued construction in the southbound (Steglitz) direction, with lane closures of the right and middle lanes. Traffic will be routed through the left lane. Additionally, the on-ramp at the Saarstraße interchange in the southbound direction will be shut down.
  3. June 30th - July 6th: Construction in the northbound (Schöneberg) direction, with lane closures of the left and middle lanes. Traffic will be routed through the right lane.
  4. July 7th - July 14th: Continued construction in the northbound (Schöneberg) direction, with lane closures of the right and middle lanes. Traffic will be routed through the left lane. Furthermore, the on-ramp at the Filandastraße interchange, and the off-ramp at the Saarstraße interchange in the northbound direction will be closed as well.
