Construction on Gulden Street commences next week on a Wednesday.

From July 30 to August 22, 2025, the city of Halle (Saale) will carry out renovation works on Guldenstraße, resulting in road and bus detours. The affected section of the street will be fully closed during this period.

During the first phase, from July 30 to August 10, 2025, the following changes will occur:

  • Bus line 24 will be rerouted via Merseburger Straße, Rosengarten bus depot, and Industriestraße from the "Guldenstraße" or "Florian-Geyer-Platz" stops.
  • The stops "Ellernstraße (A/B)", "Beesen (E)", "Alte Heerstraße (A/B)", and "Substitute stop Karl-Pilger-Straße (A/B)" will not be served.
  • For vehicles, the detour will be via Industriestraße, Karlsruher Allee, Freyburger Straße, Weißenfelser Straße, and Alte Heerstraße, and Broihahnstraße.

From August 11 to 22, 2025, the following changes will take place:

  • The detour for bus line 24 will be introduced after the summer holidays at the start of school.
  • In the direction of Osendorf, line 24 will run via Industriestraße, Rosengarten bus depot, substitute stop Karl-Pilger-Straße (in Georgi-Dimitroff-Straße), and then to Ammendorf/Osendorf.
  • In the direction of Südstadt, line 24 will run via Georgi-Dimitroff-Straße to substitute stop Karl-Pilger-Straße (in Georgi-Dimitroff-Straße), then via Rosengarten bus depot (D) and Industriestraße.
  • The stops "Ellernstraße (A/B)", "Beesen (E)", "Alte Heerstraße (A/B)", and "Kurt-Wüsteneck-Straße" (platform A/B) will not be served.
  • Substitute stops will be set up on Georgi-Dimitroff-Straße before the entrance to Merseburger Straße (height of Sparkasse, direction Osendorf) and at the exit of Kurt-Wüsteneck-Straße (direction Merseburger Straße).

The Hallesche Verkehrs-AG (HAVAG), a company of the Stadtwerke Halle group, will manage the detours. The exact dates for the asphalt installation during the renovation works on Guldenstraße have not been announced yet. However, a mobile construction traffic light will be set up on Karlsruher Allee for two or three days for asphalt installation.

For the most up-to-date information regarding detours, temporary bus stops, changes in schedules, and alternative routes for motorists and public transport users, please check the latest announcements from the Halle (Saale) city transport authority (HAVAG) or the city's official website. The renovation works on Guldenstraße are expected to last until approximately August 21, 2025. An adapted detour variant for school traffic will also be in effect from August 11, 2025.

  1. The detour for bus line 24, as part of the public-transit adjustments in Halle (Saale) during the renovation works on Guldenstraße, will briefly intersect with Industriestraße, a road in the city's industrial sector.
  2. In the final phase of the Guldenstraße renovation works, the affected section of the street will remain closed, potentially impacting transportation and finance logistics, especially for businesses relying on public-transit.
