Delta provides expedited boarding access at Sky Clubs, enabling passengers to bypass the usual queues.
** Updated Sky Club Access at Delta: What You Need to Know
Get ready for a smoother experience at the Delta Sky Clubs! The airline is implementing priority lanes for expedited access to its lounges, especially during peak hours. These priority lanes will be accessible to:
- Delta One business-class flyers
- Delta 360 invite-only elites
- Delta Diamond Medallion top-tier passengers
- Delta First Class flyers (with lounge memberships or eligible Amex cards)
Like priority boarding before departure, these elite travelers will now also enjoy quicker access to the Sky Club. This update comes as Delta faces overcrowding issues at its hub airports.
Delta is the most generous airline when it comes to lounge access. Cardholders of the Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Card or The Platinum Card from American Express with eligible flights, along with long-haul business-class passengers, Sky Club members, and top-tier flyers with lounge memberships, can access the Sky Club.
Starting February 1, 2025, Reserve Card Members will receive 15 visits per year to the Delta Sky Club. Eligible Platinum Card Members will receive 10 visits per year to the Delta Sky Club or Grab and Go.
While the new priority lanes help select flyers get into the lounge, Delta has also made other changes to combat overcrowding, such as limiting access three hours before the scheduled departure time of flights (as of June 1, 2022).
After June 1, 2022, connection passengers are not subject to the three-hour rule. Although Delta's lounges suffer from overcrowding at times, they offer the best experience of any U.S. airline lounge once you're inside. Delta continues to build new and modernized locations across the nation, providing tastier and more lavish food and beverage offerings than those found in American Airlines Admirals or United Airlines Clubs.
