Disruption in Rail Service between Hannover and Berlin expected to last until Monday afternoon.
A fire at a signal box in Lehrte near Hannover has caused significant disruption to train services between Hannover and Berlin, with delays and cancellations affecting both IC and ICE trains.
The incident occurred on Saturday, and the police suspect that it was a deliberate act of arson. However, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined. The police's on-call duty team has secured evidence and removed the fuse box.
