The Evangelical Church District of Solingen is set to witness significant changes as the terms of five members on the District Synodal Committee come to an end on January 19, 2025. This committee, which functions as a governing or advisory body within the church district, is responsible for coordinating church policy, supporting parish activities, and overseeing district-level church affairs.

Among those stepping down are Pastor Corinna Maßmann, Goetz Roehr, and Ingrid Rust, along with Rainald Rasemann and Friedhelm Kampf, who has served as scribe. The role of scribe, traditionally held by Friederike Höroldt, a pastor at the city church, will pass to a new scribe yet to be announced.

The inaugurations and farewells will be conducted by the Synodal Assessor Thomas Foerster. Replacing those stepping down will be several new members, including Reiner Kirchner from Ketzberg, who was newly elected as synodal elder. Kirchner had previously been a deputy member of the KSV.

Joining Kirchner will be Dr. Markus Höfner from Wald, elected as deputy synodal elder, and Lukas Schrumpf from Rupelrath, also confirmed as deputy synodal elder. Angelika Pollmann from Dorp and Aike Rippert from the Luther Church community were also newly elected as deputy synodal elders.

Notably, Pastor Raphaela Demski-Galla, a pastor from Dorp, was elected as the new deputy scribe. Demski-Galla will deliver the sermon in the service, which will take place at 11:00 AM in the Luther Church. The church district invites everyone to a glass of sparkling wine or juice after the service.

Stefan Dalaff from Ohligs was confirmed as the oldest synodal elder. Raphaela Demski-Galla's term will last eight years, as will the terms of the newly elected members.

For those interested in learning more about the specific role and composition of the District Synodal Committee in the Evangelical Church District of Solingen, official sources from that church district or their published statutes would provide precise details. These committees commonly include clergy (pastors) representing the district parishes, lay members elected by local congregations, and representatives of various church organizations present in the district.

As always, the church district welcomes everyone to join in the service and celebrate the new members and their roles within the Evangelical Church District of Solingen.

In this evolving landscape of the Evangelical Church District of Solingen, changes are imminent as new members take on roles in the District Synodal Committee. Among these new appointments are Reiner Kirchner, elected as synodal elder, and Dr. Markus Hoefner, who was elected as deputy synodal elder, both bringing their unique perspectives to the table. Furthermore, the business sector can draw parallels as leadership roles within the church, such as Raphaela Demski-Galla's appointment as deputy scribe, demonstrate the importance of effective management and strategic finance within religious institutions.
