Dubai Hosts 11th World Green Economy Summit in October 2025

Dubai, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will host the 11th World Green Economy Summit (WGES) on 1-2 October 2025. The event, themed 'Innovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy', aims to promote low-carbon economic models and resilient, inclusive green growth worldwide.

Organised by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO), the summit will delve into seven key pillars: technology and innovation, clean and renewable energy, policies and regulation, finance, climate equity, climate adaptation and resilience, and youth engagement in climate action. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, MD & CEO of DEWA, and Chairman of WGEO, emphasised the summit's significance, stating it as another step in Dubai's commitment to shaping a sustainable future. The event is sponsored by 16 local, regional, and international organisations.

The 11th WGES, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, positions Dubai as a key player in the global green economy. With its focus on innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth, the summit seeks to accelerate the future of the green economy and inspire collective action towards a greener, more resilient world.
