Dubai's RTA Enhances Taxi Services with 28 Initiatives Worth AED 8M
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has rolled out 28 initiatives to enhance taxi services and passenger comfort, aiming to raise standards by 2025. Worth over AED 8 million, annual incentive and reward programs have been introduced for drivers and franchise companies, with a completion rate of 89.8% by the end of the third quarter.
To support continuous service improvement, systems linking trip evaluations directly to RTA aqi monitoring platforms have been implemented. Real-time in-vehicle air quality monitoring is now possible thanks to advanced sensors. Driver uniforms have been upgraded with weather-appropriate fabrics for increased comfort. Passengers can enjoy a pleasant journey with air fresheners installed in taxis, and leather seat upholstery has been added for improved cleanliness and maintenance.
Operational monitoring systems have been enhanced to ensure high standards. The RTA's strategy focuses on integrating innovative solutions to provide a seamless and comfortable travel experience for Dubai's residents and visitors.
