Dublin Airport Expands Global Reach with New Services and Increased Frequencies

Dublin Airport is set to expand its international connectivity with several new services and increased frequencies. United Airlines will introduce a year-round double daily service from Newark starting Winter 2016/2017. Lufthansa will boost its Munich service to nine flights per week during peak summer months. Meanwhile, Ethiopian Airlines made history in June 2015 as the first African scheduled carrier to operate from Dublin.

In April 2016, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will mark a significant milestone with 50 years of service to Dublin Airport. The airport's air service development team is currently in Manila for Routes Asia, aiming to fill network gaps with unserved markets in Asia. Aegean Airlines is set to become the ninth Star Alliance carrier operating from Dublin in June 2016.

Egypt will become the first Asian country with a direct connection from Dublin Airport this summer, thanks to EgyptAir's new regular scheduled flights. Dublin Airport sees a notable role for Asia's Star Alliance members in growing its airline presence. Swiss International Airlines will operate 13 services per week to Dublin during this summer, including a new Geneva service. Air Canada Rouge will expand its service with a new route to Vancouver. Turkish Airlines will maintain its double daily operation to Dublin into the next winter season.

These expansions and new services will provide more travel options for passengers and further strengthen Dublin Airport's position as a major European hub. The airport's commitment to connecting with new markets, particularly in Asia, is evident in these developments.
