ENGIE Launches £9M East Grinstead Project for Affordable Housing

ENGIE has initiated a £9 million project in East Grinstead, Lingfield Lodge, aiming to provide better affordable housing and facilities. The project is expected to be completed in January 2021 and will offer 48 extra care sheltered apartments with communal facilities and landscaping. This development is a collaborative effort between ENGIE, Eldon Housing Association, and local charitable providers, with support from Mid Sussex District Council and West Sussex County Council.

ENGIE, along with FUSE Architects, plans to build a variety of high-quality 1 - 2 bedroom apartments. The project began with the demolition of existing apartments to make way for the new modern facilities. Simon Lacey, Regional Managing Director at ENGIE, expressed excitement about the project's positive impact on residents' living standards and the local area. The partnership between ENGIE, Eldon Housing Association, and local charitable providers ensures a well-rounded approach to addressing housing needs and community development.
