The automotive world is abuzz with excitement as Jeep unveils the 2025 Wagoneer Limited Special Edition. This new offering from the renowned brand aims to cater to buyers seeking upgrades at an affordable price.

At the helm of the news coverage is Mary Conway, a seasoned automotive journalist with over two decades of experience in automotive news analysis. Conway, who has a personal connection to the Motor City as her father ran a gas station in Wisconsin, has been covering the Detroit Three for more than twenty years for the ABC affiliate in Detroit.

The Wagoneer Limited Special Edition is based on the Series II trim but includes features previously unavailable on that level. It boasts body-color fender flares, chrome exterior badging, and black lower front and rear fascias. The SUV rolls on unique 22-inch wheels and features power side steps for added convenience.

Inside, the Limited Special Edition offers power-folding second and third-row seats for easier access and versatility, a tri-pane sunroof (moonroof), and a surround (360-degree) camera system for enhanced visibility and parking assistance.

The Special Edition starts at $76,535, including destination fees, and is designed to offer a balance between full-size SUV capability, upscale touches, and relative affordability compared to Grand Wagoneer models.

All 2025 Wagoneers, including the Limited Special Edition, feature the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine that produces 420 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque, ensuring strong performance.

Jeep's focus on offering better value is a strategy to counteract the effects of new tariffs. The parent company, Stellantis, has been hard hit by these tariffs and is aggressively looking for ways to boost sales to offset lost profits.

The 2025 Wagoneer Limited Special Edition is one of two special editions designed to bridge the gap between the Wagoneer and the luxurious Grand Wagoneer. The upgraded features in the Limited special edition were previously unavailable on the Series II trim.

The large Jeep SUVs beat expected ownership costs by as much as 4.5 percent, translating to ownership costs $15,907 cheaper than the nearest competitor. In recognition of its value, the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer and the 2025 Jeep Grand Wagoneer have won the Vincentric's Best Value in America: Luxury Large SUV award.

The power side steps and surround view camera are reportedly valuable additions, particularly on large vehicles. Earlier this year, Jeep faced criticism for raising prices too high and potentially pricing itself out of the market. However, with the introduction of the Wagoneer Limited Special Edition, Jeep seems to be addressing these concerns by offering premium features at a more accessible price point.
