Enlisted pursuits associated with the A-8 enthalpy juncture in the blueprint
The A8 Enztal Crossing project in Germany is making significant strides, with construction progressing successfully in both directions.
In the direction of Stuttgart, work is underway to expand the Pforzheim-Ost interchange, construct a retaining wall in the Kieselbronner curve area, and build a noise protection housing on the "Karlsruhe Hill." The construction of the Schillbach culvert is also ongoing.
Meanwhile, the future PWC facility in the former US gas station's area is under construction. The completion of the new Sallenbuschweg overpass is expected by the end of this year, providing road users with another crossing over the A8.
The installation of the new Sallenbuschweg bridge over the A8 took place during the first full closure, which occurred in June. Traffic will be rerouted to the new Enz bridge and the already completed B10 temporary bridge this year.
In the direction of Karlsruhe, traffic will run via the B10 temporary bridge and the new Enz bridge, while traffic in the direction of Stuttgart will be rerouted to the existing carriageways for Karlsruhe. After the new Enz bridge is put into operation, the two existing structures over the B10 and Enz in the direction of Stuttgart will be demolished.
Further full closures of the A8 are planned for this year, but the exact dates will be communicated publicly after final coordination with all project participants. The Autobahn GmbH Niederlassung Südwest aims to bundle works in the planning of full closures.
The demolition of the underpass structures Enz and B10 requires additional dates. The cap beam of the Kreisstraßenbrücke K 9808 was dismantled during the first full closure.
Work on the construction of the new Sallenbuschweg overpass is also progressing, with the project leader, Christian Hauck, reporting the completed concrete pouring of the new Enz bridge in the side position as a construction milestone.
It's important to note that for the latest information on full closure dates for the A8 Enztal Crossing project, it's recommended to check the official website of the Baden-Württemberg state road construction agency or local traffic news sources. They usually publish detailed schedules and updates on construction-related closures.
