Exclusive one-off Bugatti, the Brouillard, unveiled boasting W16 power and equestrian élan

Bugatti has unveiled a new masterpiece, the Brouillard, a one-off hypercar that marks the end of the W16 engine era in style. This exclusive vehicle is a testament to Bugatti's commitment to ultra-luxury craftsmanship and engineering excellence.

Powering the Brouillard is a quad-turbocharged W16 8.0-litre engine, producing a staggering 1,600 PS and 1,600 Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a seven-speed dual-clutch all-wheel-drive gearbox, ensuring smooth and swift acceleration.

The Brouillard, part of Bugatti's "Solitare" customization program, is a unique creation, designed for a buyer already well-acquainted with Bugatti's rarest offerings. Its bespoke interior features green-tinted carbon fiber, custom-woven tartan upholstery from Paris, machined aluminum, and horsehair door panels, paying homage to Ettore Bugatti’s horse named "Brouillard" (meaning "mist").

The exterior of the Brouillard is equally impressive. Muscular rear wheel arches, bold door panel contouring, and more prominent haunches give it a robust, sculpted look. The fixed wing on the Brouillard maintains aerodynamic stability, according to Bugatti. The Brouillard retains traditional Bugatti cues such as the signature horseshoe grille, X-shaped taillights, and oversized air intakes, but with a modern twist. Equine motifs appear throughout the design, reflecting the deep personal connection the owner has with the car's inspiration.

Every body panel of the Brouillard has been redesigned for a more robust, sculpted look. The Brouillard is a coupe, unlike the limited-run Mistral it is based on. It does not have an active spoiler like the Mistral; instead, it has a fixed ducktail-style wing.

The Brouillard is a custom build, with a fully enclosed cabin featuring a translucent roof panel and central spine. A hollow gear shifter in the Brouillard contains a tiny silver horse's head, a tribute to the car's namesake.

Despite its one-off nature, the Brouillard is expected to surpass the £6 million (approximately A$11.5 million) price of the more common Mistral considerably. Given its extreme exclusivity, it is likely comfortably into the eight-figure range in Indian rupees, more than ₹45 crore before taxes and customization.

In summary, the Bugatti Brouillard is a highly exclusive, bespoke one-off hypercar combining extreme power, unique artistic heritage influences, and cutting-edge Bugatti engineering, priced likely above €5 million. It showcases Bugatti’s commitment to ultra-luxury craftsmanship and the closing chapter of its iconic W16 engine lineage.
