Expanding the territory of Omsk Free Economic Zone "Avangard" in 2025 for new investors
Brand new take:
Gearing up for the expansion of the 'Avanhard' Special Economic Zone in Omsk, plans to increase its area are already in the works for 2025! According to a Telegram announcement on Monday, 5th May 2025, since the existing area is already allocated among investment projects, from November 2024, AO "OEZ PPT 'Avanhard'" has been working on the preparatory application for the expansion of the Special Economic Zone.
The decision is driven by the increasing demand for infrastructure development and attracting new investments. With the expansion, new proposals will be formulated for potential investors, eventually leading to the creation of new production facilities, additional job openings, and an increase in tax revenues. The new territories are expected to be added to the OEZ by 2025.
Let's recall that by December 2024, seven residents were registered on the 'Avanhard' Special Economic Zone territory with a total declared investment of more than 39 billion rubles. The actual investment amount exceeded 4 billion rubles. In March 2025, the first factory in the OEZ was opened – a plant producing fasteners and connectors for the chemical, petroleum, and energy sectors.
Previously, it was reported that the new territories of the Special Economic Zone might be located on the Left Bank of Omsk, including public hearings about planning changes in the General Plan of Omsk.
