Exploration permit granted for a decade to Cascadia for copper-gold project drilling at Carmacks, with a planned 4,000-m diamond drill program in Yukon.
Cascadia Minerals Ltd., a mining company founded in 2023, has made significant strides in the exploration of its flagship asset, the Carmacks Project, located in the high-grade Minto Copper Belt, Yukon Territory, Canada. The project consists of three zones: 147, 2000S, and 1213, all open to expansion.
The 1213 Zone, in particular, hosts shallow sulphide mineralization that has seen limited drilling. Previous drilling at Zone A returned significant copper and gold price values, including 13.7 metres of 3.18% copper with 2.01 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 22.9 metres of 2.27% copper with 2.20 g/t gold.
The Carmacks Main Deposit's results from the preliminary economic assessment (PEA) are preliminary and include inferred mineral resources that are not categorized as mineral reserves. The PEA base case economic analysis pricing is set at US $3.75 per pound (lb) copper, US $1,800 per ounce (oz) gold price, and US $22 per oz silver at an exchange rate of $1 : US$0.75.
The Catch Property, another discovery stage copper-food property in Cascadia's pipeline, hosts a copper-gold porphyry discovery with broad intervals of mineralization and extensive high-grade copper and gold mineralization across a 5 km long trend. Rock samples from the Catch Property have returned peak values of 3.88% copper, 1,065 g/t gold, and 267 g/t silver.
Cascadia is currently compiling historical geophysical and geochemical data to better understand the potential at the Carmacks Project. It's worth noting that historical drilling at the deposit focused on oxide copper mineralization, with numerous holes ending when sulphide mineralization was encountered.
Thomas Hawkins, P.Geo., VP Exploration for Cascadia, has approved the technical information in this news release. However, it's important to note that Cascadia has not undertaken to update any forward-looking information except as required by securities laws.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the 10-year Class 4 Exploration Permit for the Carmacks Project, we recommend checking Cascadia's latest press releases or contacting the Investor Relations team directly.
