"Expo Ekaterinburg" will spend 99.6 million rubles on cleanup.
The Ural Exhibition Center "Ekaterinburg-Expo" announced a competition to select a cleaning company. The facility spans a whopping 140,000 square meters. The initial cost of the three-year contract is a hefty 99.6 million rubles, with the cost of cleaning one square meter amounting to slightly over 19 rubles per month.
This price includes not only cleaning services and snow removal, but also disposable materials. Participants in the competition have the chance to lower their bids during negotiations.
The selected contractor must:
- Wash floors twice a week.
- Clean dirt, grime, and fingerprints from door handles and glass surfaces daily. Office spaces and conference rooms are to be cleaned every day as well.
- Clean the soft roof and building façade up to a maximum height of three meters once a year.
Last time, they paid 68.1 million rubles from the budget for the same period for the upkeep of "Ekaterinburg-Expo."
In an interview with our correspondent from сайт.RU, a spokesperson for "Ekaterinburg-Expo" explained that the cost of services includes Value-Added Tax (VAT) and is in line with the current market price, which has risen substantially over the past three years.
However, it's worth noting that the enrichment data doesn't reveal the costs of the previous or current contracts, as that information might be available only through official procurement documentation or public tender announcements. So, the actual financial comparison between the two periods isn't readily discernible.
