Financial institution CITI clinches a record-breaking victory at the Euro Money Awards for Excellence 2025
In a significant recognition of its achievements, Citigroup (Citi) and its CEO, Jane Fraser, shone brightly at the 30th edition of the Euromoney Awards for Excellence, held in 2025. The awards, which span across the globe, honour institutions and individuals who have demonstrated outstanding performance in the financial sector.
The period under consideration for these awards was the 2024 calendar year. During this time, Citi, under Fraser's leadership, made a remarkable impact, transforming the bank into a simpler, more coherent institution and driving new business momentum across its global operations.
Fraser's leadership was rewarded with the prestigious "Banker of the Year" title. This honour recognises her ability to influence significant change within Citi, refocusing its business strategy towards cross-border institutional needs, international wealth management, and US personal banking. The bank walked away with a record 52 global, regional, and local market awards from Euromoney, including top honours such as Best International Bank and Best Investment Bank for M&A in Singapore. The bank's strong business presence in Asia was reflected in the 17 awards it received across the region, including being named the Best International Bank in multiple markets and Asia’s Best Investment Bank for Debt Capital Markets (DCM).
