French Waterjet Specialist Découpe H2O Boosts Capabilities with Major Investments
Decoupe H2O, a French company specializing in waterjet cutting and sheet metal working, has bolstered its manufacturing capabilities with significant investments. The company, founded in 2009, has expanded its facilities and upgraded its technology to meet the demands of its automotive and power generation clients.
In a bid to enhance its dimensional metrology tools, Decoupe H2O invested in a 6,000 W fiber laser machine and a waterjet machine with a cutting capacity of 2.50 x 4 meters and several hundred millimeters in thickness. This upgrade allows the company to handle larger and thicker parts with precision.
The company's commitment to quality control is evident in its adoption of advanced technology. Decoupe H2O upgraded to the PolyWorks|Inspector dimensional control system on its Tigo SF 3D coordinate measuring machine (CMM), enabling quick and simple dimensional analysis and quality control. This system was implemented by Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence. The company also purchased an articulated-arm measuring device and the PolyWorks|Inspector software for further dimensional control.
Decoupe H2O's facilities now include two ultra high-pressure waterjet cutting centers, one laser cutting center, two press brakes, a stamping press, machining centers, an electrical discharge machine, and dimensional control systems. These state-of-the-art facilities allow the company to offer a wide range of services based on drawings or specifications.
With these investments, Decoupe H2O has strengthened its position as a leading provider of waterjet cutting, sheet metal working, and mechanical welding services. The company's expanded capabilities and commitment to quality control ensure it remains a reliable partner for its clients in the automotive and power generation sectors. Decoupe H2O continues to grow, now employing 12 permanent staff members at its Brognard, France, facilities.
