Gasoline and Diesel Prices to Drop in Germany Next Week
German motorists will see some relief at the pump next week. Both gasoline and diesel prices are set to decrease, marking the first drop in months.
Starting next Monday, gasoline prices will fall by two cents per liter, bringing the average cost down to 1.68 euros. Diesel prices will decrease by half a cent, settling at 1.56 euros per liter. These changes follow a period of steady increases.
While the new prices represent a decrease, they remain slightly above the monthly average for September 2025. Regional variations and time-of-day discounts can lead to lower prices at certain stations, sometimes up to 13 cents less per liter in the evenings. However, no specific regions were identified as consistently having lower gas prices than the national average.
The upcoming price decrease, while welcome, will not fully offset the recent increases. Motorists are advised to shop around for the best prices, taking advantage of regional and time-of-day discounts where available. The new oil prices will apply from next Monday, offering some respite for drivers.
