Gazprom Neft Professional Skills Competition Concludes in St. Petersburg

The annual professional skills competition among employees of gas stations and oil base infrastructure of Gazprom Neft has concluded in St. Petersburg, showcasing the exceptional skills and dedication of participants.

More than 2000 people participated in the initial competitive selections this year, with over 170 specialists advancing to the final. These specialists demonstrated the best results in regional qualifying rounds, competing in 16 categories including AЗS operators and managers, engineering workers, metrologists, fuel quality control specialists, tanker drivers, and other professionals ensuring fuel logistics and customer service for drivers.

The final competition took place at six locations: five gas stations in St. Petersburg, the "Gladkoye" fuel terminal in the Leningrad region, and a specially prepared site for tanker drivers. For the first time, students from relevant vocational schools visited the competition platforms, competing for the title of "Best in Profession".

Dmitry Shepelsky, Gazprom Neft's Director of Regional Sales, stated that the professional skills competition is an important part of the company's personnel policy and a professional tradition. He expressed confidence that this experience will motivate future employment and open up interesting career prospects for students.

While specific results from the Gazprom Neft competition were not detailed, the event appears to be linked to the PetroCup Tournament held in Saint Petersburg that year. The PetroCup Tournament, held at Azimut Hotel in Saint Petersburg in 2022, featured a new synthetic tutorial asset, offering more challenges and functionality to participants. Over 120 participants from 11 national teams took part, demonstrating high professional skills through applied knowledge and teamwork in a competitive setting.

The PetroCup 2022 showcased strong participation from national teams across various Russian cities, showcasing collaborative industrial expertise. It served as a competitive platform that promotes knowledge sharing and skill enhancement among Russian oil and gas professionals. The event fosters ongoing engagement with plans for subsequent tournaments, emphasizing continual professional skills development.

In conclusion, the Gazprom Neft professional skills competition and the PetroCup Tournament both serve as valuable platforms for showcasing and enhancing the skills of oil and gas professionals in Russia. They offer opportunities for knowledge sharing, skill enhancement, and career development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in the industry.

  1. The exceptional skills displayed by participants in the Gazprom Neft competition span across various sectors of the energy industry, including fuel logistics, customer service, and engineering, demonstrating the company's commitment to fostering professionalism in finance and business.
