Genius Juice's Future Unclear After Shark Tank Success
Genius Juice, a unique organic coconut smoothie, has seemingly ceased operations. Despite its innovative product and appearance on Shark Tank, the company's current status remains unclear, with no recent activity or retail presence.
Founded by Alex Bayer, Genius Juice was created to offer a distinctive coconut-based beverage. It is the world's first strictly organic smoothie designed to replace a full meal. The smoothie is low in calories and packed with nutrients, earning it the title of a superfood. It is available in four flavors: original, turmeric, mocha, and vanilla cinnamon.
Genius Juice is produced without any preservatives, and freezing is used during transportation to maintain freshness. The company also demonstrates sustainability by upcycling coconut husks to create coconut charcoal for detoxification products. Before appearing on Shark Tank, Bayer raised funds through Kickstarter and We Funder to facilitate distribution.
On Shark Tank, Alex Bayer pitched Genius Juice, seeking $250,000 for a 7% equity stake. He ultimately accepted an offer of $500,000 from Barbara Corcoran and Mark Cuban, but at a higher equity stake of 25%. Despite the initial success and innovative product, Genius Juice's current status remains uncertain, with no recent public information or retail presence.
