Geoff Calabrese Joins Publicis as CCO After Omnicom Exit

Geoff Calabrese, previously leading North America Investment at Omnicom Media Group, has left Omnicom to join Publicis Groupe as chief commercial officer. Calabrese's appointment comes after Omnicom's takeover of Interpublic Group, though this was not the reason for his departure.

Calabrese brings a wealth of experience to Publicis Groupe, having overseen investment and activation of over $20 billion across all media channels at OMG. His influence and leadership in driving major investment deals and negotiations were praised by Dave Penski, CEO of Connected Media and a member of the Publicis Groupe board. In his new role, Calabrese will focus on driving commercial models, including agency remuneration and AI integration. He will report to Penski and Lou Rossi, starting in the spring of 2025.

Calabrese's expertise extends to leading key strategic business units at OMG, including Optimum Sports and Outdoor Media Group. At Publicis Groupe, he will oversee client commercial engagements and develop commercial agreements. To fill Calabrese's vacancy, OMG North America has hired PHD exec Katie Klein as chief investment officer.
