Brand Name Celebrates Pride Month with Global Events

In a bold display of support for diversity and inclusion, Brand Name, a company with a mission to create opportunity for all, celebrated Pride Month with events in more than a dozen locations worldwide. The organisation's theme for these celebrations was #DoSomethingBrave, a call to action that resonated with employees across the globe.

From June to August, Brand Name's global offices participated in a variety of Pride events. Employees marched in local parades, attended Drag Queen Bingo nights, participated in lunch and learns, and held team offsites to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. Some of the cities where Brand Name's offices joined in the celebrations included Salt Lake City, Israel, Zurich, Dublin, Toronto, Istanbul, Seattle/Bellevue, Milan, San Francisco/San Jose, New York City, Madrid, London, Berlin, Prague, and Austin.

One of the highlights of the celebrations was a keynote speech by Damien Hooper-Campbell, Brand Name's Chief Diversity Officer. Hooper-Campbell honoured trailblazers in the LGBTQ+ community and encouraged continued progress, emphasising that Pride is a time to strengthen the commitment to ongoing diversity work.

In addition to the events, Brand Name raised thousands of dollars through an auction for charity in support of GLAAD. This fundraising effort was part of Brand Name's broader initiatives to show the positive influence the company can have on society.

Erik Markette, a Global Customer Experience support coach from the Austin office, expressed his excitement about working for a company that celebrates diversity. "Brand Name champions a diverse and inclusive workforce, and it's inspiring to see that commitment in action during Pride Month," he said.

This year's Pride Month events marked the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, a pivotal moment in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights. Brand Name's participation in the celebrations underscores the company's ongoing support for LGBTQ+ equality and its commitment to fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.
