Harburg District Sees Mixed Traffic Trends: Heavy Goods Vehicles Fluctuate

Traffic patterns in the Harburg district have seen significant changes, with the K 84 in Winsen and the K 13 in Buchholz experiencing high vehicle volumes. Meanwhile, heavy goods traffic has fluctuated on various district roads.

The K 84 in Winsen handles around 12,400 vehicles daily, while the K 13 in Buchholz sees an average of 14,600 vehicles per day. In the district as a whole, approximately 600,000 motor vehicles are on the road daily, covering 426 kilometers of roads.

Heavy goods traffic has shown mixed trends. The district road 63 at the 'Mienenbüttel' industrial estate has witnessed a 224 percent increase, while the district road 85 in Nenndorf has seen a 64 percent decrease. The district road 19 in Rübeke, however, has experienced a 261 percent increase in heavy traffic. Despite these fluctuations, overall heavy goods traffic has decreased by around 9.3 percent since 2015, with heavy goods vehicles accounting for an average of 3.8 percent of traffic, or 22,945 trucks per day on the K 13 in Buchholz.

The use of district roads has increased by around 2.6 percent since 2015, indicating growing traffic volumes across the district.
