Holosolis Secures Topcon Tech Deal, Plans 5GW European Solar Plant
Holosolis, a rising star in the solar industry, has inked a significant deal with Trinasolar. The agreement brings Topcon technology to Europe, paving the way for Holosolis to produce large-format solar modules and establish a robust European production chain.
The deal, a patent licensing agreement for Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (Topcon) cell technology, ensures Holosolis can offer innovative, compliant, and high-performance solar solutions made in Europe. This is a major milestone for the company, which has secured over 200 million euros in financing and reached key production milestones.
Holosolis plans to build an integrated production facility in Hambach, France, with an annual capacity of five gigawatts. This ambitious project is expected to create more than 2,000 direct jobs and produce ten million solar modules annually. The company has already secured letters of intent for the purchase of its products, with a total volume of more than 20 gigawatts.
Oliver Schultz-Wittmann, CTO of Holosolis, expressed confidence in the license, stating it ensures the company can deliver top-tier solar solutions. The company aims to fully ramp up its 5-gigawatt production by 2027, positioning itself as one of the largest solar producers in Europe.
The agreement between Trinasolar and Holosolis marks a significant step in Holosolis' growth journey. With the Topcon technology license, Holosolis is well-positioned to become a major player in the European solar market, driving innovation and job creation.
