Hürth-Fischenich: Temporary Traffic Changes for District Heating Expansion
Hürth-Fischenich residents should expect temporary traffic changes from July 21 to August 12, 2025, as the city's district heating network expands. The street section Am Druvendriesch will be closed to through traffic during weekdays for eight hours each day, with local traffic allowed up to the construction site.
The goal of this measure is to connect more households to the environmentally friendly district heating network, ensuring a sustainable energy supply. The construction will affect the street section from the access road Gennerstraße to house number 8a. Through traffic will be detoured, and pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site without restrictions. The Rebenfeld street can only be reached via the Platzstraße during construction.
Michael Schneider, the project manager for the expansion phase, apologizes for any inconvenience caused and recommends following the signposted detour.
