Hyundai and Genesis putting resources towards disaster aid: Assistance in the form of humanitarian and financial means for hurricane-stricken areas
Hyundai and Genesis Launch Comprehensive Hurricane Relief Program
Hyundai Motor America and Genesis Motor America have announced a multifaceted hurricane relief program to aid communities affected by recent natural disasters, particularly those impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
The program, which includes financial assistance and community donations, is designed to provide immediate humanitarian aid and financial relief for current Hyundai and Genesis owners, prospective customers, and dealers in the southern region.
José Munoz, President and Global COO of Hyundai Motor Company, stated that the company is committed to helping those affected by the hurricanes. Hyundai is extending its support to Texas flood-affected communities like Kerrville, as well as other impacted areas.
Hyundai and Genesis have pledged a total of $500,000 in donations to support affected communities. The donations will be distributed to various organizations, including the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity of Florida, Feeding Florida, United Way of the Coastal Empire, United Way of Southeastern Georgia, Habitat for Humanity of North Carolina, The Salvation Army of Savannah, Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, and Statesboro Food Bank.
In addition to the donations, the program offers direct customer relief to assist Hyundai and Genesis vehicle owners affected by the floods. Affected customers can contact Hyundai Motor Finance at (800) 523-4030 or Genesis Motor Finance at (844) 363-7477 for financial hardship support.
Hyundai is also extending the availability of towing/roadside assistance for its customers. Furthermore, Hyundai Motor Finance and Genesis Finance may be able to provide financial hardship support options to affected, current customers.
To support dealers in the region, Hyundai is offering floorplan assistance, rewards programs adjustments, and close coordination for replenishing inventory as needed.
As part of the program, Hyundai and Genesis are offering insurance deductible support (up to $500) for customers whose vehicles were damaged by the hurricanes and who are purchasing a new Hyundai or Genesis vehicle. Additionally, a $1,000 cash rebate is being offered on all new 2024-2025 Hyundai models, and a $2,000 cash rebate on all new 2024-2025 Genesis Models.
