CTT Reports Strong First-Half Growth in 2025

CTT, the Portuguese postal and logistics company, has announced impressive financial results for the first half of 2025. The company's net profit and operational income have seen significant increases, which were primarily driven by expansion in e-commerce-related express and parcels services, the acquisition and integration of Cacesa, and stronger performance in its financial services division, particularly through Banco CTT.

According to the statement sent to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), CTT's consolidated net result attributable to group shareholders rose by 11.7% year-on-year to €22.1 million, an increase of €2.3 million compared to H1 2024. Operational revenues increased by 13.9% year-over-year, reaching €597.3 million in H1 2025.

The Express & Parcels division, fueled by e-commerce growth in the Iberian Peninsula and the integration of Cacesa, generated €270.6 million (+28.6%). Logistics revenues grew 12.4% to €507 million, representing 85% of total revenues. Banco CTT and Financial Services revenues also increased substantially, with financial services rising 23.1% year-on-year due to more public debt placements.

The growth in Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) is particularly noteworthy. EBITDA surged by 22.5% to €86.7 million, suggesting a more comprehensive financial improvement within CTT beyond just net profit and operating income. This EBITDA increase is higher than the net profit and operating income increase, at 22.5% compared to 2.3% and 13.9% respectively.

In summary, CTT's profit and operational income growth in early 2025 were driven by the expansion of e-commerce-related express and parcels services, the acquisition and integration of Cacesa, and stronger financial services performance, particularly through Banco CTT. CTT achieved a consolidated net profit of €22.1 million in the first half of 2025, and operating income reached €597.3 million between January and June 2025. Cacesa was consolidated into CTT as of April 30, 2025, and the continued growth of Banco CTT also contributed to the growth of CTT. The strong performance of Expresso e Enparendas also played a significant role in the growth of CTT.

Investing in CTT, the Portuguese postal and logistics company, could potentially yield positive returns, given its impressive growth in the first half of 2025. The company's financial services division, notably Banco CTT, exhibited substantial growth, indicating a promising business opportunity for those interested in finance and investing.
