From June 27 to July 13, 2022, a road renovation project will take place in the intersection area of Friedrich-Ebert-Platz, Friedrichstraße, and the intersection of Zoll-, Michael-, and Mühlenstraße in Neuss, Germany. This project will inevitably lead to temporary traffic detours, lane closures, and changes in bus routes.

During the first phase, from June 27 to July 3, several bus lines will be affected, including 843, 844, 848, 858, 864, 869, 870, 872, 873, and 877. Outbound buses from Neuss Hauptbahnhof will skip stops "Schwannstraße", "Niedertor", "Neustraße", "Zolltor", and "Friedrich-Ebert-Platz". Inbound buses will skip stops "Landestheater" and "Friedrich-Ebert-Platz".

From July 4 to July 9, during the second phase, traffic on Friedrich-Ebert-Platz and Friedrichstraße between Kaiser-Friedrich-Straße and Breite Straße will be affected. Traffic from Weingartstraße will be directed as a one-way street in the direction of Zollstraße, and the Jülicher Straße in the direction of Zollstraße will be closed, but turning right into Bergheimer Straße is possible. Bus lines 858, 864, and 870 will be detoured from the "Kantstraße" stop in the direction of the city center via Dreikönigen-, Schiller-, and Weingartstraße.

The third construction phase, from July 11 to July 13, will see the entire intersection area closed. The line 869 will run from the "Stadthalle" stop via the Nordkanalallee, and the line 842 will be detoured via Hafen- and Batteriestraße. The stops "Niedertor", "Neustraße", "Zolltor", and "Landestheater" will be omitted during this phase.

Passengers are advised to pay attention to the signs at the stops, as replacement stops may be set up on the routes, particularly in the area of Friedrich-Ebert-Platz. The deep construction management aims to avoid major inconveniences during the renovation.

It is essential to note that deliveries to the construction sites can only take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 5 and 6, due to the narrowness of the construction field. Deliveries to commercial businesses are only possible with arrangement with the construction company, except on June 29 after 3 pm and June 30.

Fire and rescue vehicles can reach the construction sites and all adjacent streets in emergency situations at any time. The AWL will empty the waste bins each in the early morning hours during the construction.

We encourage residents and visitors to plan their travels accordingly and to stay informed through the official sources provided.

In the first phase, from June 27 to July 3, the finance sector might experience delays as some bus lines affected by the road renovation project, like 843, 844, 848, 858, 864, 869, 870, 872, 873, and 877, will have changes in their routes, potentially impacting businesses along these routes.

During the third construction phase, from July 11 to July 13, the transportation of goods may be disrupted as deliveries to the construction sites are only permitted on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 5 and 6, due to the nature of the construction field.
