The Avatr 11: A Luxurious Electric SUV with a High Price Tag in Singapore
The Avatr 11, a medium-to-large electric SUV, has made its debut in the Singaporean market, offering a luxurious design and advanced features. However, the price tag for this vehicle is significantly higher in Singapore compared to China.
The starting price of the Avatr 11 in China is approximately 40,500 USD, while in Singapore, it starts at around 217,700 USD for the standard range model, rising to 235,000 USD for the long-range variant. This price disparity is primarily due to Singapore’s Certificate of Entitlement (COE) and Additional Registration Fees.
Key specifications common to both markets include a 90 kWh battery pack for the standard range model in Singapore, offering a cruising range of 475 km, and a 116 kWh battery pack for the long-range model, providing a range of 600 km. Both variants in Singapore are powered by a rear motor producing 230 kW (313 PS) and 350-370 Nm torque.
The Avatr 11 boasts a Huawei-supported software system, enhancing its intelligence and connectivity. The vehicle comes equipped with 21-inch alloy rims for the standard range model and 22-inch alloy rims with Brembo brakes for the long-range model. Both models have similar body dimensions of 4895/1970/1601 mm and a wheelbase of 2975 mm.
In addition to the standard and long-range BEV variants, Singapore offers the RWD variant, which has a CLTC cruising range of 815 km. The AWD variant, available in Singapore, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, making it the fastest variant.
It's worth noting that there is a special "Ultra Extended Range Edition" of the Avatr 11, which offers a CLTC range of up to 750 km, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, and Level 3-ready autonomy. However, this variant is not specified as available in China or Singapore.
The Singaporean government requires a Certificate of Entitlement (COE) for buying a car, which costs about 100,000 Singapore dollars. The EREV variant of the Avatr 11 takes 15 minutes to recharge from 30% to 80%. Both RWD and AWD variants of the Avatr 11 use a 116.79 kWh ternary lithium battery.
Avatr's product offering includes the Avatr 06, 07, 11, 011, 12, and 012. The entire series of the Avatr 11 has a top speed of 200 km/h. The standard range of the Avatr 11 in Singapore offers a maximum power of 230 kW (308 hp), a peak torque of 350 Nm, and a top speed of 200 km/h. The RWD variant features a 237 kW (318 hp) and 396 Nm rear electric motor.
The Avatr 11 was officially launched in the Singaporean market on July 25. Interested buyers should consider the higher price tag and governmental vehicle policies before making a purchase.
