IPG Restructures R&CPMK for Global Integration, $250M Savings
Interpublic Group (IPG) has revealed plans for a significant restructuring of its public relations agency, R&CPMK, by November 2025. The changes aim to enhance global integration and operational efficiency, with a focus on core areas of growth and generating savings of approximately $250 million. Meanwhile, Cindi Berger, CEO of R&CPMK, teases an exciting announcement regarding the agency's future in celebrity talent, film content, events publicity, and brand strategy.
R&CPMK, founded in 1950 by Henry Rogers and Warren Cowan, has a rich history and an impressive client roster. Following its merger with PMK in 2019, the agency boasts over 30 corporate brands and 500 individual clients. However, the upcoming restructuring will see certain parts of its business moved to other areas of IPG's portfolio.
The revamp follows a significant departure in 2024, when Co-Presidents of Talent Lindsay Galin and Jeff Raymond left to establish their own talent-driven PR company, 2PM Sharp. Philippe Krakowsky, IPG's CEO, has outlined plans for the restructuring, which will result in a new incarnation of R&CPMK by November 16, 2025. Teams related to corporate client representation have already been moved to other IPG entities, and the agency's Los Angeles offices have been closed.
The restructuring of R&CPMK is set to reshape the agency's future, with Cindi Berger's upcoming announcement promising exciting developments in the areas of celebrity talent, film content, events publicity, and brand strategy. By 2025, IPG aims to enhance global integration and operational efficiency, generating savings of approximately $250 million in the process.
