Iskra automobile is available for purchase in Ekaterinburg
The LADA Iskra, the latest addition to AvtoVAZ's lineup, officially began sales on July 20, marking the 59th anniversary of the renowned Russian automaker. This significant milestone comes five years after the unveiling of the Iskra at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2024.
Maxim Sokolov, AvtoVAZ's President, highlighted that the LADA Iskra commences its history in the year of the 55th anniversary of the release of the first VAZ-2101. The Iskra is available in three body types: sedan, station wagon, and station wagon SW Cross, positioning it between the LADA Granta and LADA Vesta in the market.
The starting price of the LADA Iskra sedan in the Comfort trim, equipped with a 1.6L (90 hp) engine and a manual transmission, is 1,249,000 rubles. For those seeking more power, two additional engine options are available: a 1.6L (106 hp) engine with a 6-speed manual transmission and another with an automatic transmission. The top version of the LADA Iskra, called Techno, costs 1,579,000 rubles.
LADA Iskra's production was timed to the anniversary date of April 19. In a short time, starting from summer 2022, the platform for the Iskra was localized and re-engineered, with more than 1000 parts and components created anew. Today, the Iskra platform and the car itself are localized by more than 90% in terms of the components used in production.
While details about the LADA Iskra's availability in the Urals region and its pricing are yet to be announced, the first cars, including a test drive car, are expected to arrive in September.
As always, for the most accurate and up-to-date information, we recommend checking the latest official announcements from AvtoVAZ or authorized dealerships in your area.
