Rockin' Rollout: Nissha Group's High-Tech Expansion in Thuringia's Waltershausen

Expansion of Nissha Group's Thuringian Facility in Japan - Japanese conglomerate Nissha Group expands operations at Thuringia location.

Let's talk about the Japanese Nissha Group's awesome expansion in the quaint town of Waltershausen, Thuringia! In a brand-spankin' new manufacturing facility, Nissha Group is now slaying it, producing mind-blowing films for the front area of electric cars. These bad boys have integrated electrical lines, heating elements, connections, and sensors that would make even Elon Musk green with envy.

The company put their money where their mouth is, investing a whopping 20 million euros in this expansion, according to the fabulous Minister of Economics, Colette Boos-John (CDU). This project was partially financed with a shiny grant of around 1.8 million euros from a fancy funding program by the federal and state governments.

"Dropping 20 million euros like it's nobody's business!"

Minister Boos-John says this move is a beacon of hope for the Thuringian supplier industry, which is currently battling some seriously tough times due to the automotive industry's undergoing change. Some sites in Thuringia are teetering on the edge, so this expansion by Nissha Group is a breath of fresh air.

The minister continued, "This growth in the automotive industry is far from over!" The industry remains a dominant force in the Thuringian economy, and the state is more than ready to jump on the bandwagon and support Nissha Group's positive journey in Thuringia.

As of now, there are around 30 companies with Japanese shareholders in Thuringia, employing roughly 5,000 individuals. Ain't that a hoot? On the flip side, six Thuringian companies are also invested in Japanese companies. The annual trade volume between Thuringia and Japan clocks in at around 450 million euros.
