JBM EV Unveils ECOLIFE e12, Expands European Presence
JBM Electric Vehicles (JBM EV) has made a significant move in the European market by establishing its European headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany. The company also unveiled its latest innovation, the ECOLIFE e12, an all-electric city bus, at Busworld 2025 in Brussels.
The ECOLIFE e12 is a 12-metre battery-electric bus with an impressive range of up to 400 kilometres on a single charge. It incorporates advanced driver assistance and safety technologies such as Autonomous Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS), and Monitoring of Intelligent Object Identification System (MOIS). The bus features a lightweight stainless steel monocoque body structure and supports ultra-fast charging.
Equipped with telematics and Intelligent Transport System functions, the ECOLIFE e12 complies with EU standards. It also incorporates sustainable materials like recyclable seats and fabrics produced using recycled yarns. JBM EV also presented its latest lithium-ion battery solutions and the JBM E-Verse, an electric mobility ecosystem, at the event.
JBM EV's commitment to sustainability is evident in its global impact. Its buses have collectively covered over 200 million electric kilometres, carrying more than one billion passengers and avoiding over one billion kilograms of CO2 emissions. The company has deployed or is deploying around 11,000 electric buses globally, with a manufacturing capacity of 20,000 units per year in India.
With the establishment of its European headquarters and the launch of the ECOLIFE e12, JBM EV is further strengthening its presence in the European market. The new bus, with its advanced features and sustainability focus, is set to make a significant impact on urban mobility.
