Joint Operation Nets Success Against Black Work and Illegal Employment in Bad Salzuflen

A joint operation between the Bielefeld Customs Office, Lippe County Police, and Bad Salzuflen Ordnungsamt has resulted in a successful inspection targeting black work and illegal employment. The operation, which took place on September 17, 2025, was a testament to effective interdepartmental cooperation.

Led by the head of the Hauptzollamt Bielefeld, Arnd Hilwig, the inspection focused on showmen's businesses and construction sites in Bad Salzuflen city center. Sascha Gawenda, representing Hilwig, oversaw the operation alongside local police and Ordnungsamt officials. The team encountered 17 employees, questioning them about their employment conditions.

The inspection also revealed four individuals with unresolved residence status issues, who were subsequently referred to the immigration authority. Bad Salzuflen Ordnungsamt played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of inspected construction sites.

The success of this joint operation has paved the way for future collaborations between the involved departments. These future inspections will continue to target black work, illegal employment, and enforce safety regulations, aiming to create a fair and safe working environment for all.
