Joint Operation Targets Black Work and Illegal Employment in Bad Salzuflen
On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, a joint operation led by the Financial Control Schwarzarbeit (FKS) of Bielefeld Customs Office, along with Lippe County Police and Bad Salzuflen's Ordnungsamt, targeted black work and illegal employment in Bad Salzuflen city center and nearby construction sites.
The action, aimed at ensuring occupational safety and public order, involved inspecting 17 employees. Their employment conditions were scrutinised, and four individuals whose residence status could not be confirmed on site were handed over to the immigration authority for further clarification.
Interdepartmental cooperation was key to the success of the operation. The FKS worked closely with the police, while the Ordnungsamt ensured the safety of inspected construction sites.
The security authorities have vowed to continue such joint control actions to combat black work and illegal employment, and to enforce safety regulations. Arnd Hilwig, head of the Customs Office Bielefeld, is available for further information.
