Joint Trade Control Action Nets Fines and Warnings Across 14 Businesses

A joint trade control action, led by the Ordnungsamt, recently inspected 14 business premises in the region. The operation involved multiple authorities, including police, customs, and the food safety office.

The inspections uncovered various violations, ranging from tax evasion and hygiene issues to missing price tags. Some businesses were also found to be non-compliant with the North Rhine-Westphalia Non-Smoker Protection Act, Hospitality Act, Youth Protection Act, and Crafts Code. As a result, criminal charges, administrative offence reports, fines, and warnings were issued.

Despite the findings, three business premises were found to have no violations. However, authorities have stated that controls will continue to ensure compliance and maintain high standards across all inspected businesses.

The joint trade control action has highlighted the importance of businesses adhering to relevant laws and regulations. Authorities have urged all establishments to ensure they are up-to-date with the necessary requirements to avoid potential penalties. Further inspections are expected to take place in the future.
