Jüterbog Raid Nets 7 Arrests, Exposes Illegal Residence, Safety Violations
A joint inspection by customs and local authorities in Jüterbog uncovered multiple violations, leading to the arrest of seven individuals facing deportation and criminal proceedings for illegal immigration. Upon arrival, several individuals attempted to flee, but access to the site was blocked, and they were apprehended. Further investigations are ongoing. Among the seven, two were known to the police for illegal immigration, and another was wanted. Only one out of 12 checked individuals was properly registered for social security. Violations of craft regulations and occupational safety standards were also found. Customs has initiated investigations against the employer for suspected immigration-related offenses. The seven individuals were handed over to the Central Aliens Authority of Brandenburg, facing the risk of deportation. Seven criminal proceedings for illegal immigration were initiated. The name of the wanted person arrested by customs authorities has not been publicly disclosed.
