Kia India Sales Surge 7.2% in 2025, Driven by Festive Demand and GST Reforms
Kia India has witnessed a remarkable surge in sales, with a 7.2% increase in units sold between April and September 2025 compared to the same period last year. This growth can be attributed to positive festive sentiment, reduced GST rates, and significant price reductions on its popular models.
Kia's strong sales recovery is driven by positive festive sentiment and reduced GST rates. The company sold 206,582 units during the six-month period, with its product portfolio including Sonet, Carens, Carens Clavis, Seltos, Syros, and Carnival seeing price reductions. These reductions, ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹4.5 lakh, have contributed to the sales growth.
GST reforms have enhanced affordability and encouraged stronger customer engagement for Kia's products. Mr. Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO of Kia India, declared in September 2025 that the positive impact of the GST reforms and the festive season contributed to the strong revival of Kia sales. Atul Sood, Senior VP, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, also attributes the growth to GST reforms and festive demand. Meanwhile, prices for Kia's EV range, including Carens Clavis EV, EV6, and EV9, remain unchanged. Additionally, Kia exported 2,606 units overseas in September 2025.
Kia India's sales growth, driven by festive sentiment, GST reforms, and price reductions, is a testament to the company's resilience and adaptability in the Indian market. With unchanged prices for its EV range and continued exports, Kia continues to strengthen its position in the automotive industry.
