KidSuper reveals the Superhero Customized Luxury Accessory line for Mercedes-Benz at the Paris Fashion Week.
In a groundbreaking collaboration, Irish-American fashion designer Colm Dillane of KidSuper and Mercedes-Benz have joined forces to create an inspiring masterpiece that seamlessly unites automotive design and art. The collaboration was unveiled at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in the Louvre, Paris, during Paris Fashion Week.
The capsule collection, proudly bearing the iconic Mercedes-Benz logo, includes a variety of pieces such as jackets, shirts, pants, a trench coat, hats, bags, and a suitcase, all made from materials like cotton, canvas, popeline, jersey, wool, and vegan leather.
Dillane presented a "Superhero" art piece of the Mercedes-Benz CLA, which features turbine wings, playful balloon details, a front winch, a rally-style roof rack, and a nostalgic slingshot. Classic Mercedes-Benz design icons were incorporated into the artwork, with the wheels resembling the futuristic design of the 1996 Mercedes-Benz F 200 Concept Car and the side mirrors paying tribute to the 200 SL. Patchwork areas with KidSuper's famous "Kissing Face" motif can also be found in the artwork.
The collaboration serves as a testament to the intertwining of automotive design and art. It demonstrates how seamlessly these two disciplines can intertwine, with Dillane's creative flair and Mercedes-Benz's rich automotive heritage coming together to create a unique and captivating piece.
This collaboration is part of Mercedes-Benz's "Class of Creators" initiative, which brings together four other creative collaborators: Ice Spice, Gustaf Westman, Hot Wheels, and League of Legends. Colm Dillane is the third of five creative collaborators in the initiative.
The KidSuper design in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz shows that art can take any form, and it is a source of inspiration for many. This collaboration is more than just a blend of fashion and automotive culture; it is a testament to the power of creativity and collaboration.
