Hoken Minaoshi Hompo Group Inc. operates over 350 outlets across Japan and offers insurance products from over 40 companies. In addition to insurance, the company provides consultation services for housing loans and services related to nursing care.

The amount paid for Hoken Minaoshi Hompo shares was not disclosed in the statement made by Hirofumi Hirano, CEO of KKR Japan. Hirano expressed KKR's view that there are significant opportunities for Hoken Minaoshi Hompo to strengthen its platform and better serve customers.

The statement did not provide specific details about how KKR plans to strengthen Hoken Minaoshi Hompo's platform and better serve customers. However, Hirano stated that the acquisition is not the first time a private equity firm has entered the Japanese insurance industry, suggesting KKR's confidence in the sector's potential.
